Pascal Metrics has an immediate opening for a web UI developer to join our team at our headquarters in Georgetown, Washington DC. The ideal candidate will have experience developing user interfaces for web applications using open-source software and a passion for designing engaging and dynamic user experiences.

We are looking for:
- Self-motivated, prolific front-end developers able to work effectively in a small team
- Thorough knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript/DOM
- Extensive experience with open-source front-end javascript frameworks like jQuery, YUI, or Dojo
- Designers who thrive in a fast-paced environment driven by a competitive startup mentality
- User Interface and Experience junkies with RIA expertise using Adobe Flash/Flex, Google Web Toolkit or related rich interface platforms (ZK, Vaadin, etc...)
- Experience with template engines and web application frameworks like: JSP, Velocity, ZUL, etc.
- Practitioners with pride and interest in their craft beyond the day job
Pluses:
- Experience designing complex data visualizations
- Appreciation for scrum and similar agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with UI design for mobile platforms such as the iPhone, Android, or Blackberry
- Exposure to server-side programming in Java, Ruby, or Python
